Natural Building Systems Exhibit Panelvent DWD at Futurebuild 2024

Panelvent DWD forms an intrinsic part of Natural Building Systems' ADEPT® which is a regenerative, circular construction system, combining bio-based materials with modern methods of construction (MMC). Using digital tools, they manufacture breathable structural insulated panels (SIPs) made with HempSil®, their unique hemp bio-composite with an external sheathing of Panelvent DWD. These form an integrated ‘kit of parts’ analogous to flat-pack furniture, delivered and rapidly assembled into buildings by non-specialist labour. A breathable thermal envelope allows better indoor air-quality, and the structural elements moderate relative humidity and temperature, reducing energy use.

ADEPT® is a fully integrated construction solution, including walls, roof and floors. Standardised, repeated elements combine with optimal material efficiency to make a system that is affordable, and scalable. Panels are individually demountable, allowing adaptation, disassembly, and reuse. 
 
The natural materials capture more carbon from the atmosphere than is emitted during production. We are informed that the ADEPT® buildings act like carbon sinks, allowing them to combat climate change, but they are also more energy efficient, healthier, and more comfortable places to be.
